Abstract
This research is to analyze trends and contents of probability·statistics questions in Math area of 9th grade civil servant examination (general administration of national or local) from 2013 to 2018. Based on the analysis, whether the questions are valid measure correspondent to the current time and value was assessed, and plans to improve the validity were discussed. In a purpose of that, first, analysis frame to investigate functional characteristics in a practical aspect was set. Second, trends and contents of questions in recent 6 years were analyzed based on the analysis frame. As a result, two conclusions were drawn. First, both national and local civil servant examinations are not dealing with sampling, data collection and inferential interpretation in practical aspect. Second, most of the questions are biased toward quantifying, formatting, calculating and et cetera, in functional aspect of statistics. Therefore, the researchers recommend functional questions on data collection, investigation and arrangement to be included in the examination, considering current hot topic such as big data and convergent learning.
