Abstract
Solar radiation prediction is still essential for crop harvest outlook although smart farms are widespread in agriculture. Since crop growth spans from one to several months, it is reasonable to produce the prediction data through seasonal forecast downscaling. On the other hand, for the downscaling, meteorological observation data is required, but solar radiation data is poor or missing at many of the observation stations. In this paper, the spatial modeling method is applied and tested to build statistical model of solar radiation at ungauged points.
