Abstract
This study was to analyze the change of building an operating system in according to be designed with COVID19 quarantine in veteran’s hospital. Participants were patients who admitted in hospital from February 27 to May 18, 2020. Characteristics of inpatients, reorganizing cooperative organization, infrastructure, human resources, and service delivery system were reviewed. Organizing a respond system according to each crisis level enabled us to switch quickly a general hospital to the one dedicated to infectious disease and to respond well in the early stage. Furthermore, an two-hour shift pattern of nurses and the ward structure which was minimized exposure to the outside enabled to prevent the spread of infection. As the operation period was prolonged, the plan for the replaceable workforce and the solution for the lack of working level manual had to be devised. In conclusion, our experience can provide valuable information in developing guidelines for rapid response in another pandemic situation.
